Collective Social Responsibility (CSR)

Learning in Harmony Trust Schools - Approach to CSR

Our CSR strategy gives us a way to put our values into practice every day, engaging everyone in the trust, helping to create a happier, more socially and environmentally responsible organisation.

We are committed to:

  • Learning in Harmony - we make sure we learn about sustainability, development, community and charity.
  • Caring in Harmony - we actively care for our staff and pupils. We care for the environment and our communities through the choices we make.
  • Serving in Harmony - we do practical things to help other people in our communities, and we help good causes
  • Acting in Harmony - we persuade others to act responsibly and take personal and collective responsibility for our actions

CSR Update

At the start of this academic year, along with other schools in the Learning in Harmony Trust,  we started to implement new initiatives to strengthen our social and environmental responsibility - our CSR or Collective Social Responsibility. We are well aware of the need to do the right things in every area possible - for our people, the environment and our communities.

We have a huge opportunity as a school to create impact - directly through what we do today, and in the future through the children we educate.

One of the main ways we are implementing our commitments is through the work of school CSR Champions. These leaders are working on different projects in each school, as well as coming together twice a term to learn from and support each other. They are closely involving the children in implementing a wide range of ideas.
